Jeff Lamy (1938-2014)
Lamy Winery Consultants

Jeff Lamy was a longtime consultant to the Oregon wine industry. Born and raised in Chicago he graduated from Yale University in 1960 and went on to complete a Masters degree in Business. His early career was spent working for the Chamber of Commerce in Idaho and Eugene.  He was appointed by President Ford to the Pacific Northwest Regional Commission.

Starting in 1982 Lamy planned and developed the 400 acre Montinore Vineyard located 2.5 miles south of Forest Grove, just off Hwy 47 at Dilley.  He served as Montinore’s general manager and head winemaker from 1982-1992.   He then founded Lamy Winery Consultants and over the years helped design 400 + vineyards and many Oregon wineries.  He consulted extensively on the business economics of grape growing and winey operations.

Jeff Lamy passed away in May 2014.
