Pioneering Oregon Vineyards

Holley Blue Vineyard
1972-not known

This small vineyard in the Southern Willamette Valley was planted in 1972. Ten acres were planted to Pinot Noir, 3 acres to Riesling, and a small amount to Gewurtztraminer.

It is not known who owned and planted the vineyard back then, or the vineyard’s status today. However, in 1991 the vineyard was still being farmed and wine made from its grapes.

The wine was being sold under the Holly Blue Vineyard wine label. Sparkling wine was a specialty, also a sparkling Rose was made, and larger quantities of Pinot Noir. Holly Blue wines were made at various times by Secret House, LaVelle, and King Estate.

From our research at one time the Holly Blue Vineyard and Winery was owned by Jack Brandis, Owen Bentley and Lee Tyler with a Corvallis, OR address.
